Susie Dickens

ACADEMIC DEAN

Susie attended Maranatha Baptist University where she earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Interdisciplinary Studies with a focus on elementary education and a double minor in English and Bible. In 2018, Susie earned a Master of Education degree in Teaching and Learning from Maranatha Baptist University, with a focus on Organizational Leadership. After finishing her undergraduate work, Susie moved to North Carolina to teach, and while there, she met and married her husband Caleb. In 2011 she and Caleb moved back to Minnesota and started on staff at SFCS. Together, with their four children, Bradee, Kobe, Beckham, and Zico, they serve at SFCS and FBC. Susie loves being involved in the lives of young people, to train and educate them, but also to impact them for Christ and eternity.  She believes that all students learn differently, and it is a joy for her as a teacher to evaluate and help each student figure out how best they will learn.  It is  also extremely rewarding to Susie to watch a student dig deeper than they thought they could and push themselves farther than they wanted to. Susie finds comfort in the promises of God found in Jeremiah 29:11, “For I know the plans I have for you”, says the Lord.  “They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope.”
