OVERVIEW

SFCS’s Mission

SFCS is dedicated to partnering with parents to develop the whole student in the pursuit of academic excellence as disciples of Jesus.

Our Background

SFCS was founded in 1976 as the result of a need identified by First Baptist Church to provide an education option that teaches all academic subjects from a biblical perspective.

SFCS Core Values

Truth - Truth is absolute. Truth is given by God through His written Word.  The Bible’s authority and sufficiency regulates the purpose, content, and conduct of SFCS. II Timothy 3:15-17

Growth - Growth must be cultivated.  SFCS cultivates the maturity of the entire student equipping them for maximum effectiveness in living out the great commission.  II Peter 1:5-8

Partnership - Partnership is foundational and profitable.  The church’s mission is designed to operate in the context of community.  SFCS functions to aid the church, parents, and students in fulfilling their unique call from God.  Philippians 1:27

SFCS is a member of the Minnesota Association of Christian Schools and accredited with the nationally recognized American Association of Christian Schools.

Students enrolled in SFCS are educated in the fundamentals of reading, math, English, history, science and Bible.  Because of our unique size, SFCS is able to offer a wide variety of high quality electives that are intentionally designed to develop holistic students.  Elementary students participate in activities such as art, music, choir, physical education and dramatic productions.  High school students participate in activities such as music, art, choir, dramatic productions, physical education, ACT prep courses, journalism, and yearbook.  Student development also occurs through mentorship of younger students and servant leadership ministry opportunities in the community
