Basketball season is an exciting time around SFCS.  The season begins in November and ends with the MACS State Tournament at the end of February.  SFCS is thankful to have Junior High, Junior Varsity, and Varsity teams for our young men and ladies to join.  

The Junior High teams consist of students in 5-8th grades.  They begin with the fundamentals and have a strong focus on learning the game and working together. 

SFCS students that choose to play in 9-12th grades are divided into JV and Varsity teams.  The varsity teams have a busy game schedule including several tournaments. 

Each year SFCS hosts a Boys’ Tournament and Girls’ tournament on separate weekends.  These tournaments are a great time for our school to work together in the preparation and overseeing of the tournaments.  They also serve as fundraisers for our athletic department.  

The annual Ellen Horner Memorial Basketball Tournament is typically held early in February.  There is always good competition on the court and great food from the concession stand!
