Postsecondary Enrollment Options
SFCS recognizes there are tremendous opportunities available for high school students to earn college credit during their high school years. SFCS encourages parents and students that are interested in pursing PSEO to request a meeting with the teachers and administration to help craft a plan to meet your goals. The goal of the meeting is to discuss the spiritual, academic, and social readiness of the individual student.
SFCS partners with Crown College to offer on-campus PSEO classes in a peer group setting.
SFCS has established the following guidelines concerning PSEO:
Only juniors and seniors are allowed to participate in PSEO.
Students must have at least a 3.0 GPA.
College course credit will be applied toward graduation requirements with a ratio of 4 college credits = 1 high school credit.
Class scheduling and courses must be approved by SFCS.
If a student’s high school work begins to suffer, the student may be required to drop the PSEO course.
Incurred financial costs are the responsibility of the parent/ student.
